Parmelia saxatilis – Foliose (leafy) thallus, pale grey in colour with lobes up to 3mm.wide. Coarse network of white lines and dots (pseudocyphellae) on upper surface. Centre of thallus often densely covered in tiny grey brown isidia (vertical asexual outgrowths). Rarely found fertile. K+orange turning red. Found not uncommonly high above the shore near grass line.
